Found you through Roadside Manners. I spent 17 years doing what you are doing now. Your header pics are great. Like looking out the window of my 65 Louiville Ford gas tractor on my way to Cleveland. I don’t miss the road. But I do miss the whackos that make up the trucking industry.

Just a note to let you know that I (still) love reading these OTR posts. My son-in-law is doing local driving, moving shipping containers from one side of town to the other in D/FW. He wants to do long-haul, but not until the babies are a little (lot) older.

I’m LMAO about moving backhoes into a black hole…I guess the economy’s doing OK down there, unless they’re just sinking them off the coast to blockade a Cuban naval operation.

According to my GPS, that one was in Max Meadows. But my GPS is not always right… According to my “trucker’s friend” book its in Fort Chiswell @ exit 80. I do remember the Loves being down the road @ exit 84.

So basically, I’m not sure where I was at!

You mean you were actually able to get a parking spot at the Loves… Cheapest fuel in VA, but what a headache trying to get in there… I always stop 17 miles north in Pulaski!! So much better for parking
